The Ultimate Bulking Burrito

As the mom and main cook to our elite level teenage rugby player, there is just one home-cooked meal I am not allowed to get involved in – the Ultimate Bulk.

I am behind the scenes every day devising nutritious meals that support gains, lean muscle build, pre- and post-game or training, bulking, refining, maintaining immune strength – you name it. However, within all of these categories, if my teen is lagging behind with his weight gain, then he takes over in the kitchen for a quick fix.

This is where I’m out of my league. Apparently not even my home made lasagne will do the job.

After the hours I spend providing nutritious meals (some of which are criticised too, if you don’t mind), it’s items with significant calorie content and random throwing together that blow my mind.

This Ultimate Bulking Burrito is NOT a recipe I recommend. It is, however, a recipe my teenager has concocted to meet his needs for super fast bulking. He’s able to pull this off due to his height and serious fitness regime, and I like to add – my healthy meals that he consumes most of the time 🤣

For anyone brave enough to attempt this bad boy, or to satisfy your curiosity, I’m generously sharing the ingredients. You’re welcome!

Ingredients

  • 2 tortilla wraps
  • 2 cooked pork sausages, sliced into disks
  • 3 cooked crumbed chicken tenders (mini fillet size), sliced into chunks
  • 3 cooked Potato Waffles
  • 1/2 cup tinned baked beans or my BBQ beans
  • Handful grated cheese (Red Leicester used in the photo)
  • Ketchup / sauce of choice
